Installing Wordpress for the Third Time
December 14th, 2007
Proved to be a breeze.
All you need is a web hosting account including a MySQL database and plenty of disk space, and you should select a theme over at the Wordpress Theme directory, download and get ready to customize it a bit to suit your needs.

I’m new to wordpress and I’m wondering how much disk space is necessary? I mean, I know how much it takes to install, but I don’t know how much space or bandwidth it uses over a period of time, with more then just a couple visitors.
Hey Rick, thanks for your comment!
You need Wordpress itself - which is about 2MB and then a theme - which are usually pretty small (under 1MB). As you start adding pictures to blog posts that is where content will start to add up unless you are disciplined about using a file resizing tool before using a picture.
I use ICDsoft and their rates look like this: http://www.icdsoft.com/hosting.php Very cheap and lots of disk space and bandwidth.
Cheers,
Brian
